What arrived at the lab

The drive arrived from Texas after it stopped working. Bench work on the failed hard drive

We opened it on the bench, checked the exterior condition, and inspected the board and connector area under the scope before applying any test routine. We tested the hard drive through lab equipment, not through a normal computer, because drives that arrive like this usually need controlled access and careful imaging rather than repeated power cycles.
