What arrived at the lab

The iPhone arrived at our Lincroft, NJ lab by mail from North Carolina with one reported problem: it would not boot. We photographed and logged the device at intake, kept the ticket tied to the phone, and opened it on the bench for visual inspection under the microscope. At that point, the goal was not a normal repair. The goal was to make this original board start reliably enough for data recovery.

How we worked through the iPhone on the bench

We inspected the board under the scope, tested the startup path, and cleaned where liquid damage or residue would have affected power, charging, or communication. Phones that arrive like this usually fall into a few broad patterns: damaged power rails, impact related board faults, prior repair damage, or liquid exposure that stops the logic board before iOS can load.

For iPhone work, the storage is encrypted and paired to the original board. That matters because recovery meant repairing this board until it could boot far enough for the owner's passcode to unlock the phone. We never bypass or crack passcodes. Once the device was stable enough to access, we moved the data to a healthy recovery destination and verified the recovered content before preparing it for return.

What the recovered result meant

The outcome was data recovered. In practice, that meant the iPhone reached a state where the owner's access allowed the data to be copied, checked, and prepared for return. We verified the recovered files on a healthy drive, then sent the recovery back through our normal insured mail-in return process.

If yours looks like this

If your iPhone will not boot, stop charging it repeatedly, do not keep forcing button combinations, and avoid software restore prompts if the data matters. Mail-in customers can use free UPS second day air shipping both ways anywhere in the US. Our flat 100 diagnostic applies toward recovery, and no data means no charge. The diagnostic answers everything before any decision.

Every case is different. Results depend on the physical condition of your device, so we never promise a percentage or a guaranteed outcome. Diagnosis is a flat $100, applied toward your recovery, and if there is no data recovered, there is no charge.
