What arrived at the lab
The iPhone arrived at our Lincroft, New Jersey lab from Texas after it would not detect on a computer. We photographed and logged it at intake, then opened it on the bench for inspection. The request was straightforward: recover the owner’s data from a phone that was not presenting normally to a computer.
How we worked through the iPhone on the bench
We inspected the iPhone under the microscope, tested the board, cleaned where liquid exposure procedures required it, and worked through the board-level path used for phones that will not communicate with a computer. Phones that arrive like this usually point us toward power, USB, charge-path, corrosion, or board communication problems, but the exact failed part is not something to state without proving it on that board.
For iPhone recovery, the storage is encrypted and paired to the original logic board. Recovery meant repairing this board enough for the phone to boot and present the owner’s data. The owner’s passcode was still required to unlock it. We never bypass or crack passcodes.
What data recovered meant here
The outcome was data recovered. After the phone reached a usable state, we verified the accessible data with the owner’s authorization and prepared the recovered files for return. As with every completed recovery, the goal was not a refurbished phone, it was getting the data back.
If yours looks like this
If your iPhone is not detected by a computer, stop plugging and unplugging it, avoid repeated charging attempts, and do not erase or update it. Keep the passcode available because it will still be needed. Our 100 diagnostic answered what was recoverable and what the cost would be before any decision.
Every case is different. Results depend on the physical condition of your device, so we never promise a percentage or a guaranteed outcome. Diagnosis is a flat $100, applied toward your recovery, and if there is no data recovered, there is no charge.
