What if my USB flash drive light blinks but it is not detected?

A blinking light only means the drive is receiving power or trying to communicate. It does not prove the controller or NAND is readable. Try one other port and one other computer. If it still does not appear at the correct capacity, stop testing. Repeated attempts can make an unstable flash drive harder to recover.
